The first living wage restaurant in Vancouver, Ritual opened its doors this spring in the West End.

The restaurant pays their employees a living wage and doesn’t accept tips. If customers wish to leave a tip, all proceeds are donated to charity.

Chef and owner Nevada Cope says, "We want to offer a stable work environment which includes a fair wage, benefits, regular hours and fixed days off."

"We believe that our investment in employees will give us the return to expand our business and values."
