Canada's largest concrete and cement making company becomes a certified Living Wage Employer

Lafarge Canada has committed to pay their 1,000 direct staff members and contracted service staff the Living Wage for their community in British Columbia.

Certifying as a Living Wage Employer is a voluntary commitment employers make to invest in their communities and local economies. There are over 270 Living Wage Employers in BC, with over 30,000 employees who don’t need to worry about how they will afford rent, food, and other essentials for their family because they are guaranteed to earn a Living Wage.

Lafarge is working with other Living Wage campaigns in Canada to ensure that all of their staff across the country are earning the Living Wage for their community.
